Most of Sihanoukville's hotel rooms fall into two broad categories, in-town and near9er) the beach. When weighing your hotel options, consider that it's about a 5 minute Motor ride/30 minute walk from the town to the closer beaches.

HOTELS AND GUEST HOUSES
 

Hotels in town are plentiful and relatively uniform in character, quality and price. Hotels near the beach are a rarer commodity and vary widely in character and price.

In town the hotels are concentrated on or near Ekareach Street and typically offer clean rooms with TV, A/C and hot water for $15/night for a single. Rooms nearer the beaches range from cozy $3-$6 budget-basics, like Bungalow Village, Sam's and Mealy Chenda to a VIP room at the Seaside for $50.

Recently, several nameless guesthouses' have appeared on Ekareach St. in town. These are private homes that rent rooms which can be anything from a concrete cubicle to to a furnished room in a family's home. These guest houses offer and adventurous and inexpensive alternative.

Lastly, remember that Sihanoukville is a holiday destination. On holidays like Khmer and Chinese New Years, the hotels fill up and the prices go to up. Even international holidays can pack the town. So try to make reservations.

HOTELS BY LOCATION

Hotel listed as 'on the beach' are within 60m of the beach and generally have an unobstructed view of the ocean. The difference between ' almost on the beach' are a bit closer (within 200m) to the ocean than those 'near the beach', and they offer at least some view of the sea.
