Sepp
Blatter, the
president of Federation Internationale
Football Association, will visit Cambodia June 5 to 6 to examine the
condition of the sport in the country. The trip by the head of the
World Football Federation is in conjunction with Project Goal, a
FIFA program designed to develop football programs in smaller
nations. Cambodia's national team will begin play next year in a
Southeast Asian league. The Asian Football Confederation has already
raised enough funds to pay airfare and accommodation expenses, thus
allowing Cambodia to participate. (Dave Bloss) |
