The "Silver Pagoda" Taking its name from the silver floor, that is completely covered with 5329 silver tiles, each tile weighing 1.125kg. Inside the temple are 1650 artifacts, most being Buddhist statues there is one which made of 90kg gold and adorned with 2086 diamonds. The largest is 25 Karats.

The most prominent feature of Phnom Penh, Royal Palace close to the Mekong River-includes an impressive, colorful and traditionally style group of buildings. the last Royal Palace was constructed twice:
- the first construction in 1434. Then they moved to Oudong north of Phnom Penh.
- The second construction in 1866 up to the present day.
The Royal Palace area is 435 m long by 402 m. Now is under reign of king NORODOM SIHANOUK.

Wat Phnom represents the comic mountain of the city. A sanctuary was built here in 1373 by a rich women named Phnom Penh to housed Buddh's relics. It remains the symbol of the city.

This magnificent structure, with its distinctive rose color , stands boldly at the city's independence Park. Independence was built on 1954.

The elegant building , based on traditional Khmer style architecture, was constructed in 1917. Containing treasures of early Khmer art, There were over 1,000 items on display including bronze and stone sculptures traditional costumes. Jewelry, weapons, palanquins coins and ceramics. The museum is located just north of the Royal Palace.

Angkor Wat, With its soaring towers and extra-ordinary bas-reliefs, is considered by many to be one of the most inspired and spectacular monuments ever conceived by the human mind. It was built by Suryavarman II ( who reigned from 111-1150) to honor Vishnu, identified as a god-king It was later as his funerary temple. A motif, taken from the story of the churning of the Ocean of Milk, is illustrated in the famous has relief of Angkor Wat. In the center of the walled enclosure oar the cities most important monuments, including the Bayon, the Baphourn, the Royal Enclosure, Phimean Akas and the Terrance of Elephants.

The most out standing feature of the Bayon, which was built by Jayavarman VII in the exact center of the city of Angkor Thom, is the eerie and unsetting 3 rd level, with its 49 towers projecting 172 smiling, gargantuan face of Avalokitessvara. The Bayon, which  is 3 km north of Angkor Wat, it the best visited in the early morning hours when the mist creates a surreal sight amongst the stone faces.

Boyon Temple


This is the fabled pink temple of women, so called because it is made of pink sandstone and considered a tribute to the beauty of women. Its small size, delicate carvings and remarkable state of preservation make Banteay Srei one of everyone's favorite temples. Its apsara and male and female divinities reprsent the most skilled craftsmanship of sandstone carvings, Banteay Srei is located about 32 km from Angkor. It was dedicated in 987, making it one of the oldest temples in the region though it was not rediscovered unit the 1900s.

Cambodia's Great Lake, Tonle Sap, is situated in the middle of the country and is a most unique geographical feature. The Tonle Sap is 160 km long and 36 km wide. During the dry season, the lake covers and area of 3,000km2 and a depth of 12m.
