whale project opens

Minister Sok An has officially opened a whale conservation center at
Kratie, funded with US$30,000 by a Japanese agency, HAB21.
The
center will also train staff on conservation of the small species of
whales, which is normally about 1.5 meters, blackish at the top and
has a blunt, rounded snout.
The
porpoise is almost extinct in the Mekong.
