Community involvement in protection and management of the Park is vital to the sustainability of the Park's resources.  

Park staff are working with villagers to introduce community-based natural resource management, which is essential for the sustain- able economic development of the region.  Communities welcome visitor to the Park. Visiting these villages offers an opportunity to learn about traditional Khmer lifestyles. In addition, tourism will provide an important alternative source of income.
